The Alversons
I took a drive down from Shoreview for a session with Chelsey & Blake’s family in Rochester on a Sunday afternoon. I was grateful they were so willing to let me photograph them and maybe just as excited to drive alone for 90 minutes both ways listening to whatever music I wanted without a cranky toddler in the back seat!
I’ve known Chels for more than half my life. We’ve played basketball together, went to and worked at a summer camp and have seen more concerts together than I can count. Below are some evidence from long ago… I meant to only find a grungy concert memoir, but also found the awkward middle school basketball gem on the left!
It was their 5th wedding anniversary a few days prior to the shoot and Chels had the idea to take photos in their wedding outfits! They looked so great and it was fun to do that extra bit for them! I loved seeing their girls’ personalities and their little family dynamic throughout our time together.
Life has changed a lot for both of us as we’ve moved around the country the past 10 years, but we’re finally within a 2 hour distance! That may seem like a joke, but it’s not! I love seeing how our families have grown and can’t wait for our next little visit. It was a pure joy to meet up with her family and catch up.
